Emergency Calling Notice
AhoyDial cannot place emergency calls or transmit your location to emergency responders.
AhoyDial is not an emergency service
Do not use AhoyDial to call 911, 112, 999, or any other emergency number. Known emergency short codes are blocked. AhoyDial cannot route emergency calls, determine your physical location, or transmit an address to emergency responders.
What to use instead
Use a local mobile phone, fixed telephone, or another service explicitly capable of emergency calling. Keep a working emergency-capable service available anywhere you use AhoyDial.
If someone may be in immediate danger, contact the emergency service serving the person’s physical location using an emergency-capable telephone service.
Service failures
Internet calling can be unavailable during power, broadband, browser, device, billing, provider, or network failures. This is another reason AhoyDial must never be relied upon for urgent or emergency communication.
